Paul Hornschemeier is a Paradox

Although you may not think that comics authors endure lengthy tours between the coasts, you would be wrong. They hit the road as hard as underpaid musicians, and get no junket love like overpaid actors. It's the biz, people. The biz.

Paul Hornschemeier is one of those road dogs, and he's hitting the comic cons, shops and festivals with a quickness. He may already be in your town promoting The Three Paradoxes, his hotly anticipated graphic novel debut.

Speaking of already, he's already laid down panels for clients as diverse as CNN and This American Life, and he's already nabbed props from the titan of new-millennium lit Jonathan Lethem, a guy who knows a thing or two about autobiographical metafiction: "In The Three Paradoxes, Hornschemeier doesn’t resolve the tension between the ironic and confessional poles in his work, he exploits it. Beautifully. The result hums with brilliance."
