This
is almost a book that never saw the light of day.
It seems that publishers such as HarperCollins adore populists like
Michael Moore when there's no major international controversies,
but run scared like frightened rabbits from him when the shit really
hits the fan. Which is beyond arrogant, because it is when America
is (contiunually) at war that voices like Moore's need to be heard.
Loudly. Evidently, Moore's readership felt the same, because the
book tore up the best-seller list like bombs tore through Afghanistan,
and it still hasn't decreased in popularity. Although it was released
almost an entire year earlier in February, the hardcover is still
flying off the shelves. Which is a sobering thought for those out
there who might want to think clearly before they fly off the handle
and censor one of America's most honest and determined do-gooders.
If more people were like (this) Mike, the world would be a much
better place to live. |
